Steampunk Digital Art : Steampunk Pop!
This piece of steampunk digital art was created almost fully using photoshop techniques with a minimal use of planning or sketching ahead of time. As you can see the only part I did sketch was the robot that features in the background. He was actually a doodle I did some time ago and was only added after the majority of the work had been done on the piece.
In terms of a theme I wanted to capture that kind of ‘Metropolis’ spirit of technology, the remnants of the last century influencing the new technology of the 20th. In the background you’ll spot that I even used the original poster for Fritz Lang’s classic.
