Digital Art – Sisters With No Mercy
For this piece of digital art my original inspiration came from an idea focused on creating a (fake) and very cliched low budget flick. The movie would be about a trio of femme fatales who are bored of their suburban life and resort to killing to alleviate the tedious nature of their lives. Kind of like a cheapoid Desperate Housewives! The end result was meant to look a lot like a 50’s style movie poster but in the end I guess it’s closer to a 70’s slasher movie. The title came from a play on the ‘Sisters of Mercy’ well known charity and slogan helping to make this a film no one would probably ever want to see!
I created the finished digital art using only Photoshop with extra care spent making sure every part matched as a whole and was aged correctly to retain the weathered tone.
