Agostino Iacurci

Characterised by his use of flat shapes and colours Agostino Iacurci has created a name for himself by creating huge, bright wall murals brimming with his own unique style and sense of humour.

Agostino Iacurci was born in 1986 in the city of Foggia, Italy and has been creating his own brand of murals since 2008.  He currently revolves around two cities in two countries, Rome in his native Italy and Nuremberg in Germany.  His work generally focuses on literally larger than life characters coupled with geometric designs and shapes to creative huge illustrative pieces.

A few of his early sponsored works included murals for Roma 3 University (Rome) and the Fubon Art Foundation in Taipei City, China.  More recently in 2012 he painted a huge mural for the new headquarters of the Fine Art Academy of Rome and took part in the Bien Urbain Festival in France where he painted a three part mural on the University Campus of Besançon.  He has also painted an enormous 300 metre mural for a school in Algeria and with inmates of Rebibbia prison (Rome) another two large murals in their prison yard!

Now considered one of the best and most original street artists in the world, his work has been exhibited in countries all over the world including Japan, Russia, Taiwan, Korea, USA and throughout Europe.
